Front Yard Spring 2010

front-yard-garden-2010Our front yard garden has completely filled in. I don’t do much gardening in the front yard because our Home Owner’s Association requires that we seek their permission for planting anything–very creativity stifling. So I occasionally sneak out there to plug something into the ground.

The home builder planted the Crepe Myrtle, Cherry Laurels, Iris, and Agapanthis. We’ve done the rest. This picture shows Blue Potato Bush trees by the front gate, some yellow and red Miniature Roses, Gazania, and Chrysanthemums. The Chrysanthemums have really filled in over the last year. I can’t wait to see the blooming sea of pink soon! I also planted Wave Petunias in the containers above the gate. I also can’t wait to see how those spill over the walls.

Fern Pines Blowing in the Wind

Fern-Pine-in-WindIt’s a windy day here in Roseville, CA. Our Fern Pines are blowing down, along with our Italian Cypress and some of our vines.

Let the 2010 Garden Show Begin!

Pink-AzaleaIt’s a new year, and I’m looking forward to watching the garden come alive! So far, we have azaleas and cyclamen in bloom. We also have our camellias just beginning to bud. (Teddy is looking forward to more romps in the garden as well.)Winter-Azalea Camillia-Bud Happy-Cavachon
