The irises in our neighbors’ yards look great. Ours hardly bloom and leave dead leaves all throughout the plants. I’ll have to pay attention to what our neighbors are doing to theirs.
I like the foliage of the Texas Privets, but they quickly look “unkempt,” and I don’t have very many opportunities to garden in the front yard right now. They also attract tons of bees to the walkways in the spring and then litter tiny petals.
My African Daisies don’t look very good in the summer, fall, or winter. One of my garden goals is to plant things that look good for more than one season. I’m going to cut these back and see what happens next year.
